How many days have you been robbed on peace because you wake up thinking about all the things that have gone wrong the previous day or you are thinking about the things that you do not have today?
We have the power to change our mindset. Is it easy? Somedays it may be easier than others. Somedays it may pose to be quite the challenge!
Can we do it??? YES WE CAN!
Gratitude is more than being thankful. Yes, we are thankful for our many blessings big and small. Sometimes we can easily overlook our blessings and begin to take things for granted whether we realize it or not. Gratitude is focusing on the things we do have, rather than the things we do not have.
Gratitude is realizing that we are blessed. No matter what situation we find ourselves in or what decisions we have made (bad or good) we are blessed. We have much to be thankful for. Whether it is a smile from a stranger, a card in the mail, an opportunity to help and serve others, the resources to pay bills or buy a new outfit, the beauty of the environment around us. Do these things seem like a stretch?
I don't think so.
Are you telling me, well you really do not understand. I took a job I cannot stand to provide for my family... Your gratitude - you have a job! You are able to help provide for your family!
Our minds are powerful. We can literally do anything with our minds! We can choose to grow or we can become stagnant in stuck where we are. So what can we do to grow? Read, learn, listen to audios, listen to conferences, listen to motivational speakers on you tube or simply seek out continuing education online. The public libraries are a wealth of knowledge full of books to help you grow, develop, and become a better version of yourself every day. It's up to you to make that choice to act on these things. It's up to us to show a true spirit of gratitude and maintain a positive attitude to progress and succeed in life.
We are Christian and definitely believe that God wants us to live life and to live life more abundantly. However, we have to do what we can do on Earth to fulfill the purpose He has for us. What are you doing today to become a better version of yourself?
What are you doing today to focus on all the things you are grateful for instead of all the negative going on in your life? How can you change this behavior?
Be real with yourself.
Reflect on what you can improve on and come up with a plan to achieve progress and momentum to move yourself forward. You CAN do it and we look forward to hearing about the many ways you accomplish this whether it comes in baby steps or giant leaps!
God Bless you! We are grateful for you and wish you all the best this Holiday season! It is a season of thanks and gratefulness!
