Slow and Steady Wins The Race of Life

If you don’t challenge yourself the challenge is self

Family I was sent an invite from my good friends to attend a running session with some beautiful souls. We were going together and I put in my mind I won’t go without them. Then they became ill and my God given volition became a factor. I chose to go once I seen the intention behind the run. (Growth, Passion, Peace, Faith). I hadn’t ran in months, and of course: eating as healthy as I can 80% of the time and 20% is hey what it is…what’s up. -Either one never over indulge 😎-FYI… but it gets an honorable mention as eating as healthy as possible is a good way to sustain energy.

Your body is like a beautiful car on the outside, and it will still run on low tires, bad gas, a bad spark plug, a bad cat converter, even a bad battery etc. It may not run great, but it will run and look good…until it doesn’t. The body is the same. Prevention is key. We do not get all the elements from the food we eat nor the oral vitamins due to our gut health and the processing of oral vitamins to absorb within our gi tract. Nothing wrong with those options…it’s just not the best option.

That’s the main reason IV nutrition and Injectables for my overall health is a MUST addition for -OPTIMAL- health and wellness (I was administered an NAD+ Injection 2 days before the run while also working out)…so of course I test out the benefits with the challenge of running to see where my muscular and cardiovascular endurance is sitting at present. 2 days later…I’m good!!! No muscle soreness etc. Still Optimal! Versus in the past total opposite.. (soreness, back tightness, rib cage inflammation from breathing deep while pushing yourself while running etc)…Game changer🫡. To be completely transparent (in the Army as a Master Fitness Instructor I learned specific stretching regimens before and after that are super important for prevention of injury etc…and I did not stretch afterward …😬 which could exacerbate soreness.)…I said that to say this…

I waited a couple days to post as there is a condition called Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) after about 24-72 hours after strenuous or new exercises. This is caused by microscopic tears in muscle fibers, particularly from eccentric movements (lengthening contractions). This is a not so great -normal- sometimes really painful process when building muscle. Degree of soreness depends on your exercises (intensity and duration), your stage of muscle developement, and a number of different factors for another post. Symptoms can range from muscle tenderness to severe debilitating pain. Oh yeah… like that post leg day 2 🤯#safetyfirst #dontoverdoit

Overall..Not too bad for not running in months, but definitely have to run more and build up as most runners know. Same concept from the running we did in the early 6:30am Army PT sessions everyday etc…except with this running group; it’s “slow and steady” at your pace, your mental pace of life, and a little more deeper than just exercising and pushing yourself physically and mentally to limits to achieve goals, metals, etc…which can sometimes be a bit too much for some, or a positive life journey for others. Each are great, but there are definitely separators between the two.

Take home:

Everyone that visits this page, this testimony is given as a means to the end of discouragement. Our biggest ally and enemy in life is our mind. The ability to choose. That God given volition is a separator. It makes boys to men and girls to woman; One big challenge is also self motivation (in all things). Mindset is everything. I almost didn’t go due to taking care of others as I figured I would miss the start time, but chose to go anyway. Delayed doing God’s work…then got there late, only to be right on time to meet and greet, stretch, and pray with everyone prior to the run.

Remember - If you don’t challenge yourself, the challenge is self. #safety1st. Accountability in all angles of life is a game changer. Decisions today can impact you the next day or the next 40 years. God gave you volition so choose wisely. Biblical principles will help guide you the right way -to allow room for God to navigate. Glad I was able to attend. The Prayer before, the intension behind the run, faith based unity, safety, camaraderie. I’m in. Peace Health Time backs this😎. To God be the Glory Special thanks to Christina and Rick for the invite, and Izzy of G2 (Congratulations - one of El Paso’s Boston Marathon Qualifiers) for pics. check out our Instagram site time.health.peace for more testimonies involving life with health and wellness #wesupportthis #faithbased #mindsetiseverything #exercisemotivation
