Stay motivated! Easier said than done. In the Army we thrived on motivation to achieve success in training and overall mission readiness. Celebrating the small wins, and stacking your wins is a way to mentally see progression without seeing huge changes in the beginning.
Proving to yourself you can do things that are a bit tough are a huge confidence builder. Staying consistent, and working on getting stronger will help build you. You may not see muscles right away, but you will FEEL stronger…feeling strong helps build faith and confidence in yourself proving to yourself that you can do things that are challenging. Your mental will help you stay in the game! That's why mindset is everything.
Your training is unique to “you”. Try to make it happen that way if possible. Having a coach or an individualized program can help too. If you don't have access to those resources stay active. A little bit truly goes a long way.
When you are short on time, it's ok to dial things back a bit. It's better than skipping training all together.
....AND
When you’re a bit older you may not recover like you did when you were younger. Therefore it’s muy importante to listen to your body and take unscheduled rest if needed. Training consistently and safely is important to prevent injury, mastering form, skill acquisition, recovery, and most importantly RESULTS. Let's not forget about diet, ways to decrease stress, and IV nutrition therapy...ALL game changers too that are in other subject areas of the site.
